Join us in store for an official Pokemon Play tournament!

Scheduled for: Sunday, June 28th, at 11AM

Entry Fee is $10 (Includes 4 Pokemon Play Prize Packs).

Purchasing a spot in the tournament from the drop down menu above guarantees you 1 entry into the tournament on the specified date.

EXPANDED FORMAT

Expanded is the primary non-rotating format for official organized play. Unlike the unofficial Unlimited format, which allows cards from any point in Pokemon’s history (as an eternal format), Expanded still tries to curate the experience by having a limited card pool.

As you may expect, with almost 15 years’ worth of cards allowed, there are some strong combinations to be found in the Expanded card pool. This leads to a format that allows for very high-stakes gameplay but also a varied metagame: faster aggressive decks, slower control decks, Basic Pokémon toolboxes, and Stage 2 Pokémon all coexist in relative harmony.

There is one last thing to consider, though—Pokemon maintains a list of banned cards to promote a healthy format where everyone can have fun.

You are not permitted to include these cards in your Expanded Format deck when playing at events:

Each participant will receive 4 Pokemon Play Prize Packs upon arrival.

Grand Prize for the 1st place winner will be a Special Mid-Year Celebration Playmat featuring Chikorita, Totodile and Tepig AND 20 additional Pokemon Play Prize Packs! 

2nd place will receive 10 additional Pokemon Play Prize Packs!

3rd and 4th place will both receive 4 additional Pokemon Play Prize Packs!

OTHER INFORMATION

Entry fees are non-refundable, so before purchasing please make sure that you can attend the tournament on the date and time specified above.

If you do not have a Pokemon Player ID, please arrive at the store early so one can be generated for you.
